This year will be the first time we’ve ran the Hallam Chase and there’s still a lot to learn. It follows that this is also the first time we’ve opened the race for entries. None of us were sure how much promotion we’d need to do, how to spread the word, and just how much effort would be required to fill the race.
Well, we needn’t have worried, a day later and all the places are taken! I did become slightly obsessed by refreshing the entry details and watching the number climb ever higher.
We’re really pleased that the race remains so popular after so many years. We sincerely hope we can make our first edition as race leads a worthy entry.
I’ve left the entry button on the website as places may become available over time (due to refunds etc.) so do check back occasionally if you didn’t manage to get a place. Obviously if you know someone who can no longer race, it’s imperative you don’t just take their place. The biggest reason from my perspective being that I need to handicap you individually! That reminds me, I have some work to do…
