Hello everyone,
We’d really like to see you next Tuesday for the 147th running of the world’s oldest fell race.

Race details
The Hallam Chase takes place on Tuesday 26th May, with the race starting at 7:30 pm at Hallam Cricket Club. You can find the location here: Open map.
From Hallam Cricket Club the route takes the racers down Den Bank, across the rivelin valley, past the Rivelin Inn before turning around at Stannington Church to make the return journey. You can view a map here. There are plenty of places to watch the action along to course with the cricket club, Den Bank and the Rivelin Inn attracting the largest crowds.
The race is handicapped, with the first runner setting off at 7:30 pm and the last runner around 30 minutes later. Will the last to set off be able to catch up? Find out in the Cricket ground.
At the prize-giving after the race at around 8:30 the will be many trophies and prizes, to give out. Sheffield’s finest pizza, P.R.E.A.M pizza will be onsite alongside food and drink, alcoholic and none, in the Hallam Cricket pavilion. We’d love have you help us support those who are supporting the race.

Parking and access
Parking is limited nearby and will mostly be on residential streets in the surrounding area, so please consider sharing lifts, using public transport, or walking, running, or cycling where possible. Please also be courteous to local residents when parking.
The 51 bus stops just outside the cricket ground. If you are arriving close to 7:30 pm, please use the side access rather than the gate opening onto Sandygate Road, as that gate will be used by runners once the race starts.
